The power of gravitation and its influence on your spine
Have you ever thing how big pressure on your lower spine is when you bend yourself?
Can you imagine, that in 90° the pressure on the spine can be 720 kg? Look bellow

If we stand or sit for a long time, we create a great burden in the lumbar spine. There is great pressure on the spinal discs. Those who sit for more than half of their working time increase up to three times the risk of disk problems (McGill 1998).

Ok, this is clear, but what to do with this information? Or what YOU can do with this information?
Proper activation of the abdominal and lumbar muscles is essential because it provides the necessary stability. When you are bending your abdominal muscles have to support your spine and help to prevent the injury or disk hernia.
Make your abdominal muscles strong by training your core. You can choose yoga, isometric strengthening, balancing, an exercise to stabilize the spine etc.
Do not forget it when you are in the fitness gym or participate in other exercising lessons!
